#1. Humble Market Kitchin at The Wailea Beach Resort – Upscale seasonal food with an Asian twist

Address: 3700 Wailea Alanui Dr, Kihei, HI 96753

Book your outside table well ahead, and experience the most beautiful sunset on the Island. The inside seating is elegant and simple and huge glass windows are looking out onto the ocean and palm trees. But the outside seating is even better. From the spacious and covered outside seating, you get an uninterrupted view of the open ocean, framed by a long palm tree silhouette. The pink and orange sunset is postcard-worthy.

The restaurant works with many local farms and fishermen and sources most of its food from Hawaii. They serve an abundant breakfast buffet, a happy hour menu, and dinner. Their breakfast a La Carte menu has the best Hawaiian sweet bread French toast with Blueberry Compote, strawberries, bananas, and brown sugar.

Dinner is the highlight of this restaurant (and maybe town). They have both a vegetarian and meat menu. But as meat lovers we absolutely love the Japanese-styled chicken and Mochi Waffles, Potato crusted local catch, and Filet Mignon with truffle fries. The locally sourced and fresh ingredients are the star of these perfectly seasoned and prepared dishes.

Service here is quick and efficient. We never have to wait when we have reservations. They are attentive, well-timed, and helpful without being overbearing. Overall this restaurant doesn’t miss, no matter when we visit.

Humble Market Kitchin is the best Maui restaurant with a view because:

  • They serve breakfast, buffet breakfast, happy hour, and dinner.
  • The food is locally sourced, the fish is freshly caught and the preparation is perfect. There is also a vegetarian menu.
  • This restaurant has the best ocean and sunset view on the island. It’s visible from the inside and the large spacious terrace.
  • Service is impeccable, well-timed, and not pushy.

#2 The Plantation House – The Best views from the 19th hole and elegant food

Address: 2000 Plantation Club Dr, Lahaina, HI 96761

It’s hard to find fault with this restaurant. It’s my close second pick because it has it all. A breathtaking view of a beautifully manicured golf course, trees, and ocean and mountain views in the distance. It’s a gorgeous view and a change from the typical beachside view.

The decoration is simple and clean. The tables are spaced out for privacy and comfort. Seating is open-air and perfect for enjoying the view while being sun and wind protected. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, but you won’t be out of place if you dress up for a night out at dinner.

I love having date night here because of the privacy, sunset view, and excellent food and wine. They have extensive seafood, meat, and dessert menus. It’s also a family-friendly spot, so they have a kid’s menu. My favorite meal here is usually the seafood chow fun with

char siu pork, scallop, shrimp, crab, oyster sauce, sesame seeds, and bean sprouts. My boyfriend loves the Pan Roasted half Chicken with mushrooms and wine.

Dessert lovers shouldn’t miss out on the Coconut Lemongrass Panna Cotta and Lilikoi Pono Pie with strawberries. Ask the waiter to help you pair your food with a bottle of great wine (they are knowledgeable). Also, they will help you pick a perfect meal if you have dietary restrictions.

The Plantation House is a top restaurant with a view because:

  • They have an impeccable view of the gulf course, ocean, mountains, and trees.
  • The food is high quality, and diverse and there are many choices for vegetarians, seafood lovers, and meat lovers.
  • It’s a perfect place for an intimate date dinner and some great wine.
  • It’s also a family-friendly restaurant with a kid’s menu.

#3 Sea House Restaurant at Napili Kai Beach Resort – Top casual, open-air food on the beach

Address: 5900 Lower Honoapiilani Rd, Lahaina, HI 96761

This restaurant has won several awards for best happy hour and breakfast. But it’s the gorgeous view, quality service, and the dinner menu that put it on my top list. The venue is simple, elegant, and casual. Everything is open air with great views of the sand-covered beach, palm trees, and ocean. It’s so close to the beach, during dinner under tiki torches you can hear the waves.

This is also a good spot for happy hour. All the food items are delicious including pork sliders, coconut shrimp, ravioli bites, and cauliflower. The food here has a Hawaiian vibe and is casual with large portions.

We come here for dinner. The sunset is amazing, the wine is high quality (my favorite is the Cave De Lugny Unoaked Chardonnay – France) the menu is diverse. They have an awesome bar that serves top-notch cocktails and drinks until 9:30 pm. Some of the best food here is the sweet Kula onion soup, Napili Kai Shrimp with honey, chili, cream, and garlic toast, and organic chicken breast with truffle mushroom gnocchi. The prices here are also very reasonable and portions filling.

Service is prompt and friendly and they know their menu and ingredients very well. For most meals there are also walking’s are welcome, but we always make a reservation for that perfect table.

Don’t miss out on dining at Sea House Restaurant because:

  • The venue is casual and beachside with a gorgeous view of the sandy beach, palm trees, and ocean.
  • The open-air seating is fun, and spacious and allows for a great view wherever you are seated.
  • The food is traditional, classic, and with a Hawaiian twist. They offer multiple meals a day and the portions are filling and generous.
  • They have a full bar with great cocktails and a top-notch wine selection.

#4 Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante – Oceanside, an open-air eatery with Italian and Tuscan cuisine

Address: 3900 Wailea Alanui Dr, Kihei, HI 96753

This is another stunning, classical, and elegant restaurant with an exclusive and uninterrupted view of the ocean (as you would expect from a Four Seasons Resort). The venue is decorated with upscale furniture, art, and lighting. The food is both modern and traditional Italian. It’s perfectly plated, fresh, and juicy, made from scratch, and resembles home cooking with a contemporary twist.

I love the food, and it’s a welcome change to have some world-quality pasta made from scratch. Top pasta dishes you must try (and my favorites) are the lemon saffron pappardelle with red crab, ricotta, and house-made tagliatelle with traditional beef ragu and lobster cannelloni with wild mushrooms (Tasty!) Chicken lovers will enjoy the organic chicken with Kula corn, polenta, and mushrooms.

All the meals are filling and well-priced. No one leaves hungry, and no micro portions. They work with more than 70 local farms, so you know the produce is fresh and good for the environment. Service is impeccable and the deserts are awesome. All those with a sweet tooth (like me) order the coconut mango panna cotta with guava or the chocolate hazelnut Tartufo with caramel. Both are awesome!

You will enjoy dining at Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante because:

  • They provide the top service and venue as expected from the Four Seasons Resort.
  • Even though they are a huge chain, they locally source a lot of their ingredients and cooperate closely with local farms and fishermen.
  • The view is stunning and the space is spacious, romantic, and perfectly lit.
  • They have both innovative and traditional menu items for picky eaters.
