#1 Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Catamaran Cruise
Duration: 2 hours (approx.)
Address: Pink Sails Waikiki, 1651 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96815 (across from Prince Waikiki Hotel)
Link: https://www.viator.com/tours/Oahu/Friday-Night-Fireworks-Sunset-Sail/d672-104993P2
We enjoyed this great tour operated by Pink Sails on a 55 ft power catamaran with about 50 passengers. Not only is the atmosphere incredible, but the tour also is not overcrowded and there are cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks available at their cash bar.
Our tour lasted from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and I had an amazing time. During the relaxing and stress-free ride we had the opportunity to watch an impeccable sunset filled with pink and orange colors from the water, enjoy the city view, and of course the stunning Friday night fireworks.
My favorite part was also the beautiful view of the Diamond Head State Monument. The staff is incredibly professional and experienced and there is a strong focus on safety. They have a great sound system with great music as a backdrop that doesn’t interfere with conversation. My boyfriend and I found some privacy and really had a great time.
Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Catamaran Cruise was my favorite because:
- You get to experience a stunning sunset view from the open ocean, including an evening view of the bay.
- The Friday night fireworks from the water are unsurpassed.
- The catamaran is not overcrowded, it’s comfortable and offers privacy and drink options on board.
- The staff is highly experienced, professional, and friendly.
#2 Oahu Catamaran Cruise: Wildlife, Snorkeling, and a Hawaiian Meal
Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes (approx.)
Address: Ko Olina Marina, 92-100 Waipahe Pl, Kapolei, HI 96707
This trip already starts at the beautiful Ko Olina lagoons and sandy resort area. We arrived early and enjoyed a great time at the beach before the trip. They also offer shuttle services, but we enjoyed our time at the nearby resort.
Everything was perfectly organized and there are not enough good things I can say about this tour. The catamaran itself is spacious at 61-foot. They bring the equipment including snorkels, masks, fins, flotation vests, flotation noodles, and even sunscreen. The local guide is friendly, knowledgeable, and well-trained. The spot we went snorkeling was full of marine life and colorful fish. It was easy to navigate even for beginners. I also loved seeing the dolphins on the way to and from our snorkeling area. Sometimes they also see whales.
They serve a great tasty and freshly prepared Hawaiian meal with delicious kalua pig, chicken, and fish (buffet style) and a great choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Everything was well served and filling. We also enjoyed the local beer and margaritas while watching the Waianae Coast and getting great legendary stories from the staff.
We took a lot of amazing pictures of gorgeous panoramic views. And even bought some stunning professionally taken pictures from the tour. The pictures were my favorite souvenir. I also appreciated the freshwater shower before the end of the tour.
Oahu Catamaran Cruise: Wildlife, Snorkeling, and a Hawaiian Meal tour are one of the best because:
- The boat is comfortable, the staff is top notch and all the activities are well planned out.
- Asides from snorkeling, you have the opportunity to see whales and dolphins, and sometimes turtles.
- They serve a traditional freshly made Hawaiian meal and offer several great drink options like juice, margaritas, beer, and wine. (all delicious)
- They offer a pickup and drop-off option.
- There are amazing views for picture-perfect shots, or you can buy professional photographs of your trip.
#3 Sunset And city light tour on a forty-foot catamaran
Duration: 2 hours (approx.)
Address: Oahu Catamarans, 1025 Ala Moana Blvd Pier A Slip 0, Honolulu, HI 96814
This is a perfectly relaxing and soothing activity in the evening. It is an intimate setting with only about 20 passengers (even though the capacity is more than double! which allows you for some quiet time and even romance. There is a great feeling as the catamaran distances itself from the Waikiki beach, and all the tourists and city noise just fades away.
Since you can bring your drinks, we grabbed a gorgeous bottle of white wine and had the best time enjoying the views and ride. The wine we brought went perfectly with the complementary snack plate that was included. I was delighted we saw some turtles in the water.
The ride was smooth and the captain was a pro. The whole experience was made even more special as the sun went down and we witnessed a majestic sunset looking over the city and the lights. It was quite a special moment for us as we watched over the city, gently floating and enjoying our wine. I highly recommend this activity to couples. I also appreciate that we can choose to bring our drinks (because I am picky)!
Sunset And city light tour on a forty-foot catamaran is a great romantic tour because:
- It allows you to move away from the city and tourists and enjoy the calm ocean water while enjoying a panoramic view of the sunset.
- The crew and captain are wonderful and attentive to the guests, and the boat is usually under half capacity (to give room and privacy to the guests).
- You can bring your own choice of drink, and you get a complimentary snack tray with cheese and fresh aromatic fruit.
Conclusion
Catamaran tours are a great way to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Oahu. It offers some of the most unique views, breathtaking sunsets, and adventures out on the open sea. Take a tour that offers snorkeling, wildlife, and adventure. Or a tour for the perfect and relaxing romantic evening.
Whether you are looking for a romantic evening with your partner as the sun goes down, or a paradise evening with the family, Oahu has the perfect tour for you.
